Andrea lives in New York City with her husband, with whom she shares a passion for Opera and the New York Yankees.  Andrea is also involved with several philanthropic causes, including the SLE Lupus Foundation’s Bag Ladies Luncheon committee and Life Without Lupus Gala committee.  Andrea is a member of ICSC and ULI.  She speak multiple languages and has lived in Europe and Latin America. 

In 2005, after GGP’s acquisition of Rouse Companies, which included four major, mixed-use communities, Andrea assumed the role of Vice-President of Mixed-use & Master Planned Communities, with asset management and development responsibilities in GGP's new master-planned community portfolio as well as various assignments to re-develop key GGP retail centers into mixed-use projects, including the re-zoning and master planning of Ward Village, which comprises 62 acres of urban infill in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Andrea also served on the Executive Board of The Woodlands Company (TWDC) in Houston, TX, which at the time was a Joint Venture of GGP and Morgan Stanley.

Since forming her practice in 2013, Andrea has focused on merchandising strategies and introduction of International retailers to retail property owners in Europe, North America and Latin America, and in particular, the national and international expansion of retailers and high fashion brands to the US and Latin America.

Andrea obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Architecture from the University of Notre Dame in the US, where she was the recipient of the Alpha Rho Chi medal for leadership, and participated in special programs with Cornell University and University of Rome. 

Andrea A. Abrams (formerly Andrea Bills) is a 23-year retail and real estate veteran focusing on strategic acquisitions, development, repositioning and business development pertaining to retail and mixed-use.  Andrea Abrams LLC, dba ABRAMS GLOBAL, is and advisory services firm working with retailers, fashions groups and retail and mixed use owners and developers in various parts of the World.

With an educational background in engineering and architecture, Andrea spent a large part of her career in senior positions with US retail REIT General Growth Properties (NYSE: GGP), and has held additional positions with Valencia Hotel Group and GS Realty Group, a real estate advisory and transactional services firm she co-founded.  Most recently, Andrea ran US operations for London-based retail agencies Lunson Mitchenall and Time Retail Partners.

Andrea spent many years at GGP, the second largest US-based, publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust, which at the time had ownership interests in or management responsibility for a portfolio of more than 200 regional shopping malls (approximately 200 million square feet), several portfolios of foreign retail properties, master planned communities and commercial office space.  During her tenure at GGP, Andrea held various roles in Development and Asset Management, with assignments as Senior Development Director, Director of Peripheral Land and Big Box Development, between 1997 and 2002, and helped launch GGP’s international initiative as Vice President of GGP International Ventures between 2002 and 2005. 

In her role in International Ventures, Andrea worked to establish GGP's presence outside the US with international transactions in Brazil, Turkey and Central America; forged relationships for GGP in Europe, Asia and Latin America; and advised multiple European retailers seeking to expand to the US.  Andrea also worked on the incubation of new retail concepts in the US, to help growing brands transition to a bricks and mortar operation.
